It is important to be aware of the voltage levels of the components you are working with and to ensure that you are using them safely. Here are some tips for working with voltage levels safely:
If you need to interface with components that require a different voltage level than the Raspberry Pi Pico, you will need to use a voltage level shifter or converter. These devices can be used to convert the voltage level of a signal from one level to another.
For example, if you are interfacing with a device that operates at 5V, you can use a voltage level shifter to convert the signal to 3.3V so that it can be safely connected to the Raspberry Pi Pico.
